Why We Invested in Konfidens
Building the infrastructure for emotional wellbeing in the Nordics.

The problem
Mental health services in Norway are broken. Waiting times stretch to months, costs are prohibitive, and the stigma around seeking help remains high — especially among young people.
We have believed for a long time that this would be solved by software. Not because software is magic, but because the bottleneck is access, not quality.
Why Konfidens
When we met the Konfidens team, what struck us wasn't the product — it was the conviction. The founders had experienced the broken system firsthand, and they weren't building a feature. They were building an infrastructure layer for emotional wellbeing.
Their approach is clinical-grade but consumer-grade in experience. Evidence-based tools, delivered with the design sensibility of a consumer app. That combination is rare.
The market
Digital mental health is a massive and growing space. But most players have optimised for acquisition over outcomes. Konfidens is building something different — a product that actually works, measured by real clinical outcomes, not retention metrics.
Why now
The Nordic healthcare systems are under pressure. Digital-first approaches are increasingly accepted by regulators. And a generation of young people has normalised therapy in a way that previous generations never did.
The timing is right. The team is right. We're proud to back Konfidens.
